Christ once said, "For many are called, but few are chosen" (Matthew 22:14). What is the distinction between being called and being chosen? The Greek word kletos, translated "called," can also be translated "invited." A calling by God is His offer, His invitation, to repent and enter into a relationship with Him.

Meskel is one of the colorfully celebrated religious festivals (especially in the Orthodox Church) in Ethiopia. It is celebrated by feasting, dancing, and lighting a massive bonfire known in Ethiopian tradition as "Damera". Meskel memorializes the finding of the True Cross in the 4th when Empress Helena, mother of Constantine the Great, discovered the True Cross on which Jesus was crucified. The feast is celebrated in Ethiopia on the 17th of September Ethiopian calendar (the 27th of September Gregorian calendar), 6 months after the finding of the True Cross. The celebration of Meskel implies the presence of the True Cross at mountain of Gishen Mariam monastery and also a sign of the events carried out by Empress Helena.

You’d have to study the religion, find out all about its history, doctrines, promises and modus operandi. Then, you’d need to look for  evidence to support your case against Mormons. After that, you would have to get enough exposure for your material in the hopes that someone will give  a hoot about your findings.

Wow, that’s a lot of work! Anti-Mormons come in all shapes and sizes and each has his or her own individual reasons for bashing the religion and its members.

Hello, this is Bolok. I’m just some unknown blogger.  I hope you’re having a great day and thank you for stopping by, whoever you are.

John Dehlin has a few interesting personal opinions and angles on Mormonism. The following video consists of his comments that most members won’t see anywhere else. I suspect that John won’t be invited to give talks at any local firesides. I’m left wondering whether John is bordering on Apostasy or if he’s just giving LDS members a different point of view on Mormon history and events.

The video below depicts a quote that makes it sound like Brigham Young was very frustrated with Emma, Joseph Smith’s wife. That’s news to me. I had never heard of any conflicts between Brigham and Emma.

The soul of a human being has two aspects which are the active and the passive aspect. The active aspect of the soul is the intelligence or self awareness of the person. The passive aspect of the soul is the memories, data and information of the person. After death, the active aspect of the soul transitions to the nonphysical realm.
