Oh, how times have changed, haven’t they?

This guy wants to be our President and control our government. Pay
close attention to the last comment!!  Below are a few lines from
Obama’s books, his words:

From Dreams of My Father:  “I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at
the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to
whites.”

From Dreams of My Father :  “I found a solace in nursing a pervasive
sense of grievance and animosity
against my mothers race.”

From Dreams of My Father:  “There was something about him that made me
wary, a little too sure of
himself, maybe. And white.”

From Dreams of My Father:  ; “It remained necessary to prove which
side you were on, to show your
loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.”

From Dreams of My Father:  “I never emulate white men and brown men
whose fates didn’t speak to my
own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa ,
that I’d packed all the attributes I sought
in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Man dela.”

From Audacity of Hope:  “I will stand with the Muslims should the
political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

‘As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as
taking sides,’ Obama said. ‘There are a lot of people in the world to
whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem
itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air
and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less
bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing.’ If
that were our anthem, then I might salute it.’

‘I don’t think my church is actually particularly controversial.’ -
Barack Obama.

he that hath ears to hear, let him hear:

2008 + 4 years = 2012

2012.

So?
Oh, the possibilities. Mabus is the word. I don’t think this guy is THE Anti-Christ. That seems to be a far-fetched assumption unless he starts levitating on stage during speeches. However, if you saw the Anti-Christ, would you know it? Would you recognize him? How well disguised would he be? What nation would he want to command? What does he look like and talk like?

It’s obvious Obama has led away silly Obama bots with his spell, charisma and promises of change as if he will just say the word and Congress will bow down and obey. Will it?

This guy has obviously mesmerized the crowds. He wouldn’t mesmerize me because I always carry my infallible BS detector with me.

“Can a Catholic vote for Obama?” by Jack Cashill.

“The first thing I’d do as president,” Obama told a pro-abortion group, “is sign the Freedom of Choice Act”

http://www.barackobamaantichrist.blogspot.com/

“This is not an easy decision for me. I hate to lose,” Mr. Romney said. “If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror.” - Mitt Romney

In all fairness, Mitt Romney couldn’t have possibly won the Presidential election because he doesn’t represent the masses out there. Obama can go into the masses and appear to be ‘one of them’, something that would be difficult for Romney to do as Romney, while a good person, is not really ‘one of the people’, or the average Joe and Jane on the street. Obama’s story is more appealing. Rags to riches type of thing. Romney, was born wealthy. The majority of the people aren’t interested in “conservative, family oriented values’. The country is trying to redefine what constitutes a family and it’s not what Christianity has been preaching.

Which poses the question: Will McCain be able to win? Or is Obama the ticket for 2008-2012?
Can you really see Obama being this great leader that will make life better for everyone in America and abroad? Everything is possible and everyone is entitled to the benefit of a doubt, including Barack H. Obama.

Some people have actually invested or (wasted) their time to see if Obama is the anti-Christ:

So a pastor from a Christian church responds to a video (old) of Oprah denying that Chirst is the ONLY way back to God. She also mentioned that she was disturbed when she read that God was a “jealous” God.

This is the video that prompted the pastor’s response and warning. Is he right? Those who don’t believe in Jesus or religion seem to think it’s just pathetic. Maybe there is a big push against Christianity nowadays and its’ gaining momentum. The denying of the Christ is already happening and famous people are leading the way. Makes sense. Roles models can influence millions and save Satan from working with people on an individual basis.

If I were to guess, there is probably something going on in preparation for the Anti-Christ. Would your recognize the anti-Christ today? Is he here? Or are they here with him?

Can’t take your billions with you, big O.

In an effort to become more mainstream and be recognize by the world, many Mormons are becoming more ‘worldly’ - not in a negative sense. They’re just exposing more of their proven talents to show the world that Mormons are just normal people who happen to share good values with other Christians.

The Church has been promoting itself and it’s getting all types of media attention. This is nothing new. It has been going on for a few years now.

I am wondering if all this exposure to the world is actually a good thing.  Will more people join the Church as it becomes mainstream?

There is a strong reason why the LDS Church doesn’t allow missionaries to own pets:

Vet visits and disposal costs!

Some men out there are probably secretively wishing they could have several wives. It’s been illegal to have several wives for quite sometime now, since 1890 for Utah. Polygamy is all over the news now and there is a lot of information about it online, for example: Take a look at this site.

The idea of having several wives may appeal to some men but, since ‘bigamy’ is illegal, there is a solution for these men with secretive thoughts about having more than one wife:

100% legal in all states. Just marry someone like Sybil and your can have as many as 16 wives, all in one.

I have mixed feelings about the Visitors Center at Temple Square. For one, I think it’s too  cluttered, especially the downstairs area.

Something that caught my attention in particular is the trade-show feel you get with all the wall-mounted HD TVs, automated narrators and especially the somewhat scary real life waxed figures that give the center a feeling of being in a wax museum. They’re not Halloween scary. Not at all. Just lifeless mounds of wax in human form.

For example, the Good Samaritan and the injured traveler cans make impressionable little kids cling to your leg and ask “Mommy/Daddy…is he hurt?”   Brigham Young is rolling over In his grave about his new hairdo and pose.

Initially, I think  tourists go into the Visitors Center expecting some sort of spiritual setting. and not a museum full of gadgets, spinning globes, etc.  However, kudos to well scripted, pull-your-heart-strings video clips and clever tv commercials to show our family-oriented values and that we’re just normal people without any prejudices or hidden agendas.

Now we need HD videos to show that we have nothing to do with the FLDS!

“What? Are you insane? Thousands of people go there each year and you’re the only one complaining, rotten you!”  - you might say out loud while caressing the cat in your lap!

These visitors might think they’re visiting the Mormon Museum, full of tour guides and gadgets so they won’t be complaining. To them, it looks just like any other introduction to a religion anywhere in the country.  If you’re a tourist in Salt Lake City, anything new will be exciting and worth a few pictures. But I write as a member and not a tourist.

“OK, smart lass! (or lad!) How can you connect the Visitors Center with a trade show?”  - says a wax figure buider.

When you work at a trade show, every person is a potential buyer for either a small or large order.  In the minds of people working the booths (sales persons), the new people you meet might just be the ones that make a purchase. So, salespeople are always on their toes hoping to find those golden buyers.  Trade shows are full of gadgets, booths, demos, presentations, signs,  sales people walking around, tour guides, music, videos, audio, etc.

I think that the Church has the means an the talent necessary to give The Visitors Center a total facelift and get rid of the excess wall-mounted HD TVs and all those scary looking wax figures. Why? Because when tourists want to know more about the Mormons, all those things are very distractive and hardly convincing that some super divinity is behind all of that.

The sister missionaries do a great job at the tours and obviously there are plenty of them.

My guess is that in the near future, someone (inspired) from the marketing department or equivalent might suggest a total redesign of the Visitor’s Center. It’s too small and too crowded.  I am not particular fond of some of the murals there either and I think they could look more realistic and if you’re a senior citizen, you might as well take the elevator to see the Christus  instead of walking up the spiral walkway. If you can’t make it there, you can always buy   famous Albert Bertel Thorvaldsen’s sculptures in miniature form at:  http://www.wasatchsculpture.com/

The Christus is really the best part of the tour and it’s indeed one awesome piece of art. It’s impressive. Visitors enjoy audio in various languages. Take a look at some of these photos: http://fiveprime.org/hivemind/Tags/christus,mormon

If the Church invests money and time into redesigning the Visitor’s Center like they did the Conference Center and hire some new, creative consultants to fix up that place, I guarantee you that the Church is capable of coming up some jaw-dropping,  impressive stuff by getting rid of all the clutter that’s there now.

Wait a few years and  you likely  see that my predictions will come true and you will have a 21st Century Visitors Center that will knock your socks off. Something with a Space Theme to expand on what’s upstairs right now.

I must admit that the Church has done an outstanding job with the Temple grounds and everything else at Temple Square. My impressions here are strictly about the Visitors Center.  Change the murals, make the place bigger or move it across the street, get rid of the trade show feel and watch the conversion rate  and noticeably more interest in the Church. We might even impress ministers from other faiths, even though that’s not what the place was designed for.

“You freak! What’s wrong with the murals?”  - Says another disgruntled brother. For starters, Arnold Friberg would have done a much better job!

“…The Mormon Church has become the biggest contributor to Buena Park-based Islamic Relief, touted by its administrators as the West’s largest Muslim-based charity. Relief officials say the church has donated $20 million in goods and services since the 2004 tsunami, equal to about 20% of the charity’s annual budget.

Brigham Young University in Utah, the church’s major institution of higher learning, features what is thought to be one of the world’s best programs for translating classic Islamic works from Arabic to English. Though created primarily for academic purposes, the results have impressed Muslims flattered by the close attention.

“It shows they have a keen interest in the Muslim world,” said Levent Akbarut, a member of the Islamic Congregation of La Cañada-Flintridge…”

Did you think that the FLDS was the only group that branched off the LDS Church? Read: Apostates. Well, here’s an interesting list of denominations that most people have no idea about.

Good thing that they don’t get raided at the same time or we’d be in trouble trying to explain that we have nothing to do with ALL of them:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sects_in_the_Latter_Day_Saint_movement

Would it be correct to ‘label’ all these folks as apostates and hostile and never extend any compassion towards them? Apostates. I think so. Unworthy of compassion. Absolutely not. I don’t think that’s what Jesus would do. However, I find it interesting that there are so many of them still active while none of them are part of the official LDS Church. Most people don’t realize just how many of these types of ’sects’ there are. Well, except for you now.

Matthew 7:12Matthew 7:12
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV

12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

The following video is an example of how clever words and strawman arguments can mess with your mind if you allow it to. How to pretend that something FALSE is TRUE is one of Satan’s favorite games. Now, I don’t condone the first video and if you feel uncomfortable watching it, your mind is weak. Repent and get back on track, OK?

This is one of those videos that tries to prove to you that God is imaginary. It’s a favorite among those who don’t believe in God, some atheists and those who, for whatever reason, want you to remove God from your life. It’s probably because their imaginary Satan wants them to use strawman logic to make people abandon their ONLY hope and source of Salvation and Exhaltation.

Don’t fall for it. So, are you ready? Pay attention to these arguments and notice that you must have a college degree (ha ha) to understand this logic. If you don’t have a college degree, this video assumes that you’re an idiot! Say do-doo!

Now, that you’ve watched this stupid, deceiving video…here are the answers:

There you go! No college degree required! Now believe in God and Live!

Mormon Doctrine even goes beyond what you’ve just seen and offers many more in-depth answers! The guy on the second video doesn’t believe in Mormonism but I like his logic and common sense. We’ve known these facts for a long time and that God Lives and that Jesus is the Christ!
